Andorpay

Virtual POS terminal in Andorra

Manage online payments on top of your POS terminal and Redsys.

Redsys and your financial institution process each payment and settle the funds. Andorpay connects that payment to products, customers, recurring payments, invoices, an API and webhooks.

What a virtual POS terminal does in Andorra

Your financial institution provides the POS terminal that lets you accept card payments. When Redsys processes the transaction, authorization and settlement follow the terms agreed with your institution.

From individual payments to the full billing cycle

A POS terminal processes transactions. To manage what happens before and after each payment, a business may also need:

  • A catalogue of products and prices.
  • Customer and payment tracking.
  • Recurring payment and renewal scheduling.
  • Invoices, refunds and reconciliation.
  • An API and webhooks to connect other systems.

The features available through a POS terminal depend on the institution, contract and configuration. Andorpay organizes the management layer around those capabilities.

How responsibilities are divided

Andorpay does not replace your financial institution or Redsys. The payment infrastructure executes the transaction; Andorpay coordinates the commercial journey and maintains the status your business needs.

Frequently asked questions about POS terminals and Redsys

Is Andorpay a POS terminal or a bank?

No. Andorpay is payment management software. Your POS terminal, Redsys and financial institution continue to provide and operate the payment infrastructure.

Does Andorpay receive or hold the money?

No. Andorpay does not receive or hold payment funds. Settlement is handled through the infrastructure and account you have contracted.

What do I need to connect it?

You need a compatible POS terminal with the features required for your use case. Before integration, we review the institution, terminal, domain and payment models.

Can I accept subscriptions with any POS terminal?

Not necessarily. Recurring payments require the appropriate features to be enabled by your institution and on your terminal. Andorpay manages the subscription cycle on top of that configuration.

Do I need to change banks?

That cannot be assumed without reviewing your current setup. We first check whether your institution and POS terminal support the features required for your payment journey.

Review your POS terminal before starting the integration.

Tell us which institution, terminal and payment models you use. We will explain what can be connected and what you need to confirm with your provider.
