A subscription plan should explain what the customer gets, what they pay and the period covered. Before choosing how many tiers to offer, prepare a worksheet that supports both clear marketing copy and consistent configuration.
A worksheet for each plan
| Field | Fictional example |
|---|---|
| Name | Resources |
| Service | Access to a defined resource library |
| Price | €20 per monthly period |
| Start | After the first confirmed payment |
| Renewal | According to the published schedule |
| Plan change | At the next renewal in this example |
| Cancellation | Defined effective date and access consequences |
This amount is not a recommended price or an AndorPay tariff. Tax treatment and documents need to be established for the actual sale.
One plan or several?
Add tiers when customers can understand the differences: content, usage, users or support. Three plans are not a universal rule. If you cannot explain why someone would choose the middle option, its purpose may still need work.
To compare three fictional tiers, describe what each includes, excludes and helps someone do. Do not label one “most popular” without data supporting that claim.
Compare tiers using the same fields
Fictional tiers and amounts, not recommended prices:
| Tier | Included | Limit | Fictional price | Period |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Resources | Defined library | One user | €20 | Monthly |
| Team | The same library for a team | Five users | €60 | Monthly |
| Guided | Library and an agreed session | One user and one session | €90 | Monthly |
For a real offer, also describe the session and establish tax treatment. A tier name does not replace its terms.
Monthly and annual are more than two prices
Explain when payment happens, the period covered and how renewal works. If you display a monthly equivalent for an annually paid plan, also show the amount actually charged. Do not suggest monthly payment when the full year is collected upfront.
What happens when a customer changes plans?
Decide the effective date, next amount and access change. Do not assume the software calculates prorations. A straightforward rule may apply changes at the next period, provided that matches the offer and configuration.
Before publishing, check that the sales page, checkout and schedule agree. Test a plan change and cancellation with fictional data too.
If you already have a bank or platform, our subscription preparation guide helps connect this worksheet to payments. Tell us about the offer you want to launch so we can review the setup.
